Lasswade Athletics Club

The club now have new vests in stock. These are priced £13.50 and can be obtained from Margaret Benham.

After years of faithful service as Membership Secretary (amongst many other things) Ruth Szymanski is looking for someone to take on her role. The Club usually has around 150 members so they wont take too much looking after!!

If you feel you would be able to spare a wee bit of time to help with this aspect of the good operation of the club see Ruth at training to learn more or drop an email to norrie.kristoffersen@lasswade-ac.org.uk

Congratulations are due to the club's Greg Louden who has been selected for the Scotland Men's 4 x 400m squad for the Loughborough International on Sunday 22 May.

Greg ran a season's best performance of 47.80s at last weekend's trials at Scotstoun Stadium to qualify for the squad.

Well done Greg, and good luck from everyone at the club.

The next Scottish Young Athletes League is this coming Sunday 15 May 2011 at Grangemouth.  

Selected athletes have been emailed and given letters.  Can you please let Linda or Margaret know asap if you are available to compete.

The team bus leaves Lasswade High School at 10.00am on Sunday.
