Gareth Fleming<\/span><\/b> (representing Newbattle High School), claimed the gold medal in the U15 Boys’ Pentathlon at the Scottish Schools’ Championships at Grangemouth on Saturday, while <\/span>Ellen Kristoffersen<\/span><\/b> (Dalkeith H S), won bronze in the U17 Girls’ event.  <\/span><\/span>Erin Feeley<\/span><\/b> (Lasswade H S), also in the U17 age group, finished sixth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gareth<\/span><\/b> amassed a points total of 2242<\/b>, recording times\/distance of: 80m Hurdles – 14.7s, Long Jump – 5.06m, 200m – 26.3s, Shot Put – 10.24m, 800m – 2:20.5.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ellen’s<\/span><\/b> times\/distances were: 80m Hurdles – 13.1s, Shot Put – 6.72m, Long Jump – 5.10m, High Jump – 1.60m, 800m – 2:42.2, Total – 2851 points.  <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Erin’s<\/span><\/b> <\/span>times\/distances were: 80m Hurdles – 14.1s, Shot Put – 7.34m, Long Jump – 4.02m, High Jump – 1.45m, 800m – 3:05.8, Total – 2106 points.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
