This year Lasswade Athletics Club were nominated for two awards:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Community Club of the Year<\/li>\n<li>U20 Athlete of the Year &#8211; Ross Matheson<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lasswade-ac.org.uk\/club\/?attachment_id=2417\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2417\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2417\" title=\"Ross Matheson\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lasswade-ac.org.uk\/club\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Ross-Matheson4-300x278.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"278\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Whilst the club was unsuccessful in the Community Club category, it&#8217;s great news that Ross was voted the U20 athlete of the year.\u00a0Ross was up against strong competition in\u00a0the form of Kirsten\u00a0McAslan\u00a0and as you can\u00a0read from the profiles both are a great credit to Scottish Athletics.<\/p>\n<p>This has been\u00a0great 30th Anniversary\u00a0 year\u00a0for the Club\u00a0with a number of our athletes competing at the highest level.
