The Inter District Cross Country match took place at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh on Saturday as part of the Great Edinburgh International Cross Country Event.<\/p>\n

There were four Lasswade AC athletes \u00a0selected for this event. Unfortunately, Ross Matheson was injured and had to withdraw, however the other three athletes all performed very well.<\/p>\n

In the boys race, under 13 age group, \u00a0Magnus Tait ran a great race working his way through the field to finish inside the top 10 in 9th position. \u00a0Photograph below shows Magnus after his race with his sister\u00a0Sarah and club team mate Susan Scobie. \u00a0Sarah and Susan both competed in the open race with Sarah proudly showing her trophy for 2nd place and Susan her finishers medal!<\/p>\n

Lauren Dickson competing in the girls race, under 13 age group, \u00a0ran a fantastic race to finish just outside the medals in 5th position in a very close run in to the finish.<\/p>\n

In the under 17 women, \u00a0Amy Frankland showed why she has earned selection for Scotland with another fine performance finishing 5th.<\/p>\n

It was a fantastic day of athletics and great to see all the Lasswade AC athletes doing so well.<\/p>\n
