They are already at about 250 entries but are looking to push that to 300 and beyond if at all possible.
This event takes place at Grangemouth Stadium this weekend and a number of athletes from Lasswade have been selected to compete.

Lasswade AC are actively seeking new young athletes to participate in the next 10 week induction block starting mid August. These courses are tailored for 8-11 year olds. The schools international took place this weekend at Grangemouth with two Lasswade AC athletes selected for Scotland. The conditions were not ideal for fast times with a strong cool wind, welcome to summer in Scotland!
Cameron Steven finished 3rd in a slow tactical 800m race with very exciting and fast last 200m. Lauren took part in the 1500m race, this was also a very slow race over the first few laps with the race only really starting over the last 600m. Lauren finished in 8th place.
The photo’s below show Cammy and Lauren looking very smart in their Scotland kit and Cammy receiving his medal.
Well done to both athletes!

The National Age Group Championships (U13 – U20) take place on 22nd and 23rd August at Grangemouth Stadium.
Entries for this event close on 5th August 2015.
This is the main championships for track and field athletics in Scotland so if you want your child/children to compete please remember to submit their entry on time.
